 | This popular Norfolk coastal resort provides the ideal
chance to combine a trip to the seaside with some exciting Flat racing. |
| The course goes out of its way to look after families,
with fast food outlets and a playground. |
| As one of the nearest venues to Newmarket, Yarmouth
often attracts runners from the major training centre. Subsequently the
racing is often well above average, particularly for two-year-old events.
The track is a narrow oval circuit with a long five-furlong run-in which
also forms part of the straight mile course. |
| It is level and galloping in nature, suiting big,
long-striding horses. Great Yarmouth plays host to 17 Flat meetings, including
four evenings and one Sunday. Fixtures are held throughout the summer,
with the three-day September meeting and July evening card the main
highlights. |

The racecourse is located to the north of Great Yarmouth. Take the A149 from
Caister, A47 from Norwich, A12 from Ipswich. Public enter by the Fremantle
Road gates, horses enter by the Fremantle Road entrance.
By Rail:
To Great Yarmouth Station - 1 mile from the course.
By Air:
