ALAN GRAY & GRAHAM ROBESON WELCOME YOU
TO THE EAST RUSTON OLD VICARAGE GARDEN. |

 |
Situated 1 1/2 miles from
the north east coast of Norfolk, East Ruston Old Vicarage Garden is an oasis
of beauty and natural order set in a prairie landscape.
|

 |
Despite the
exposed position, the garden benefits from the proximity of the North Sea
which ameliorates the cold northerly and easterly winds and periods of frost
are shorter and less severe than those experienced inland. The soil is a good
quality light loam and free-draining. This, combined with the low rainfall and
milder winters than gardens further inland, enables us to grow a much wider
range of half-hardy plants, giving the garden its exotic atmosphere.

|
 |
The gardens are
approached via the nursery, plant sales and service area to the house. On the
plant stand you will find many varieties not easily available elsewhere, most
of which we propogate from plants growing in the garden, so that you have a
chance of buying something unusual and, sometimes, exceedingly rare.

Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays,
and Bank Holidays 2pm until 5.30pm.
